Surviving the last few weeks of prep02 January 2017
It’s the last few weeks of your prep. You’ve been putting in your 110%, you’re struggling to get through the days but you can’t stop thinking of what more you can do to get that trophy
- Nail Your Posing Routine
Practice practice practice, practice some more. You’ve heard it countless times. Posing is a way to highlight your best bodyparts and hide your weak points. You should be posing at least 15min a day to make sure you’re remembering the angles that showcase your best.
- Don’t change your training or diet
Yes, experimentation is good. It’s how you learn your body and fine tune your peaking process. However, mixing different dieting and training methods is not going to end well when you have so much at stake. Your body has been accustomed to the same foods and exercises, so if you’ve been responding well, don’t change it. You know the phrase, don’t try to fix it if it ain’t broke.
- Keep your emotions in check
Prep is tough and your mood swings more often than ever. You feel like giving up and you feel like it will be worthless or for that matter, you are worthless if you don’t win. This is the time however, that positivity really has to come in. You benefitted physically and emotionally from the hard work. You’ve understoof yourself better, your body is your pride and the ultimate trophy.
- Enjoy the process
As difficult as it is, enjoying the whole prep is the best way to survive the final lap before show day. Be proud of your transformation. Be proud of your determination. You will exude the confidence that you feel and that glow is the x-factor that is going to bring your physique from good to great.
Push on and have fun! Work and train hard, control what you can control and keep striving to be your best.
